  • Which countries does Hotel Gift support?

    Hotel Gift operates globally. You can buy and redeem a Hotel Gift from all over the world via our website. We work with more than 110,000 hotels in over 170 countries. Check out our hotel offerings.

  • What is a Hotel Gift?

    A Hotel Gift is an online gift card for a hotel booking. The booking is made via www.hotelgift.com, and the gift card is sent via email.

  • What if my Hotel Gift is lost or stolen?

    If your Hotel Gift is lost or stolen, email us immediately at support@hotelgift.com with your name, email address and the original purchase receipt. Provided the Hotel Gift has not already been redeemed and has not yet expired, we will deactivate the lost or stolen Hotel Gift and give you a new one. Please note that you must agree to provide all reasonable information and assistance to help us investigate the loss or theft of the Hotel Gift.

  • What happens when the hotel booking is cheaper than the value of my Hotel Gift?

    In this case, you can put the remainder towards another hotel booking. Please note that the remaining value can’t be used for payment of additional services at the hotel (e.g. for food or beverages).

  • What happens when the hotel booking is more expensive than the value of my Hotel Gift?

    In this case, you can pay the additional costs via credit card on the payment page of the hotel in question.

  • How long is a Hotel Gift valid for?

    Hotel Gifts have no expiry date, and they are valid indefinitely.

  • Do I need to activate my Hotel Gift before redeeming it?

    No. You can make a hotel booking with your Hotel Gift immediately via www.hotelgift.com.

  • Can I redeem my Hotel Gift for cash?

    No. You can only redeem your Hotel Gift for a hotel booking made via www.hotelgift.com.

  • What is the difference between a twin room and a double room?

    A twin room contains two separate beds, while a double room contains one bed for two people.

  • How do I know if my booking is confirmed?

    As soon as you have completed the booking process, the confirmation page with your booking details will appear. A confirmation email with all of your booking details will also be sent to the email address you provide.

  • How can I see the price of a hotel room?

    Just search for a specific location and date, and you’ll see the prices displayed.

  • Can I use my Hotel Gift to make extra purchases at the hotel?

    Hotel Gifts can only be used to pay for accommodation. The gift cards cannot be used to pay for dinner or drinks in the hotels. The reason for this is that we cannot inform the staff of all the 110,000 hotels we work with how to accept our gift card. As a result, the gift card can only be redeemed through our website. However, in many of the hotels you can book your breakfast along with your room through our website.

  • Can I make a hotel booking without a Hotel Gift?

    Yes. All hotel bookings can also be fully paid for by credit card.

  • Can I cancel or modify my booking?

    Unless specified otherwise on your booking confirmation, you can cancel your booking free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. To modify your booking, please cancel your booking and make a new booking. To cancel your booking, go to the My Booking page or send your cancellation request with your booking confirmation to support@hotelgift.com. The full value of the booking (including the amount that you paid by credit card over and above the original value of the gift card) will be re-loaded onto the Hotel Gift that was used to make the booking.
