Our Hotel Gift Card FAQs

You can give a hotel stay as a gift by buying a Hotelgift, a gift card for hotel stays. You can choose to send a Hotelgift via three shipment methods:

1. eGift: send a hotel e gift card to your recipient’s email address. They will receive an email with the personalized gift card, instructions, and a code to redeem.
2. Printable PDF: send a PDF to your inbox, print it out at home, and follow the instructions to fold it into a card. That’s it, you’re ready to give it to the lucky recipient in person.
3. Physical gift card: send a physical gift card by mail. Deliver it to their address or yours to give it later in person. We ship all physical gift cards with priority mail to the US and the rest of the world.

You can buy a hotel gift card with denominations between $25 and $10,000 or the equivalent in other currencies such as British Pounds, Euros, Yen, and many more.

2. Select a photo you like. Choose from our extensive library or upload a photo of your own.

3. Write a sweet message to the recipient.

Unfortunately, our worldwide priority shipping does not include a tracking number for your order. You can choose to pay for DHL express shipping with tracking.

Shipping costs depend on the delivery currency and the number of physical gifts in your order. You can find the full overview in the table below. The shipping cost is calculated per order, based on the total number of physical gifts you purchase. Digital and PDF gifts are delivered instantly by email and do not require shipping.

All physical hotel gift cards are shipped with our worldwide priority service. Additionally, you can opt to pay for For DHL express shipping with tracking. Gifts ordered before 2 p.m. (CEST) on business days and before 12 p.m (CEST) on Saturdays, will be shipped the same day. Please see the table below for the shipment times per country.

We understand it’s frustrating when your buying experience is interrupted. If you’re paying with a card, we recommend double-checking the credentials on your card (such as your card number and the CVV number). Hotelgift is a brand under Experiencegift. Other brands of Experiencegift include:

• Flightgift, an airline gift card redeemable for over 400 airlines in over 170 countries
• Activitygift, an experience gift card redeemable for over 50,000 activities in over 680 cities and 160 countries
• Traingift, a train gift card redeemable for over 25,000 train journeys across Europe and the UK.

At this moment, it’s not possible to combine our products together under a single travel gift.

1. Enter the first five characters of your Hotelgift to access secret hotel deals.
2. Select your destination, dates, and other preferences.
3. Choose a hotel and the accommodation type.
4. Follow the checkout flow by entering your details.
5. Pay for your stay using the code on your gift card.

Afterwards, a confirmation email for your stay should arrive in your inbox, and you’re all set!

After the first redemption, if you still have funds left on your Hotelgift, you can use them towards booking another hotel stay. If the booking exceeds the value of your hotel gift certificate, you can settle the outstanding amount at the checkout using your preferred payment method.

It is not necessary to activate your Hotelgift before use. Apply your unique Hotelgift card code at the checkout when booking your hotel through our website.

All gift card codes have a 24-hour waiting period before the hotel gift card can be redeemed. For any questions, please get in touch with us, and we will be happy to help.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to redeem your Hotelgift for cash. Hotelgift can only be redeemed for hotels via our booking engine.

If you have received more than one Hotelgift you can combine their values in one booking! We are happy to share that you can redeem up to 3 Hotelgift cards for one booking. If you have more questions please reach out to our customer success team. 

The earliest check-in date you can choose is two days from today. For example, if you’re booking on a Monday, the first available check-in date is Wednesday. This gives us time to confirm your room with the hotel and make sure everything is ready when you arrive. If you’re planning a last-minute trip, we recommend booking as early as you can so you get the most choice.

There is no minimum order amount or value for your corporate gifts! Simply customize your hotel gift card with any uploaded image, a message and select a delivery method!

It is possible to pay for your hotel gift card order by invoice. Once the payment is received, the corporate gift cards will be ready for use.
