These terms and conditions explain how our services work. By using our website or services, you confirm that you have read and agreed to them.
We want you to feel confident about your gift purchase, which is why we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on consumer gift orders (excluding B2B orders that begin with "HC-B" and any orders paid with cryptocurrency). You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase if your value code has not been redeemed (not even partially), is not being used for a pending booking, and your order was placed on Hotelgift.com or Experiencegift.com.
To request a refund, please contact our team through the form on our contact page. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Please note that, regardless of when the gift is given, we can only offer refunds within 14 days of purchase and only if the gift has not been used in full or in part.
Gifts issued from 1 June 2026 onwards: have no expiration date.
Gifts issued before 1 June 2026: are valid as printed on the gift card or as confirmed at the time of purchase.
Gifts purchased from other sellers: may be subject to the terms set by that seller. Please review those terms before purchase.
Through www.hotelgift.com, we provide an online platform for booking stays. From the moment you place your booking, Hotelgift acts solely as an intermediary between you and the hotel, on behalf of the hotel. Hotelgift does not sell stays under its own name. We forward your booking details to the hotel and send you a confirmation by email on their behalf.
Hotelgift handles all transactions made on www.hotelgift.com, including any payment-related issues. If you have questions, comments, or concerns about your transaction, please contact us directly.
The information we provide is based on details supplied by hotels. Hotelgift acts as agent for the hotel and passes on the information we receive. We make every effort to ensure our intermediation services are accurate and reliable, and we correct any inaccuracies promptly when we become aware of them. Responsibility for the accuracy of the content itself lies with the hotel as principal. Our liability for damages caused by intent or gross negligence in our intermediation services, or for damages to life, body, or health, remains unaffected.
Payment: Payments are due at the time of ordering and can be made using Visa, MasterCard, or available local payment methods. All payment processes are secure. It takes up to 24 hours to process and validate the gift payment, after which your gift card code is ready for use. If payment fails or there are issues with the transaction, we reserve the right to deactivate the Hotelgift. Bookings made with an unpaid or invalid Hotelgift code may be cancelled.
VAT: Prices include VAT and other applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Hotelgift cards themselves are not subject to VAT.
Business orders: Businesses can choose to pay immediately or by invoice. Orders paid by invoice are activated once payment is received. For questions or special requests, please reach out, we are happy to help.
Priority post without track-and-trace: Physical gift cards are sent by default via priority post. This service does not include track-and-trace. If you have not received your gift card, please notify us within 30 days of the order date. If we do not hear from you within this period, we assume the card has been delivered correctly. Claims of non-delivery made after this period cannot be accepted.
DHL Express with track-and-trace: At checkout you can optionally choose shipping via DHL Express. This service includes track-and-trace so you can follow the delivery.
Booking your stay: Hotelgifts can be used for stays available on our website. They cannot be redeemed directly with the hotel. If your booking costs more than your gift card, you can pay the difference online. If you do not use the full value, the remaining balance stays valid for future bookings.
Booking details: Please make sure all guest names match their identification documents exactly. Accurate booking information helps avoid issues at the time of your stay.
Extras: Bookings do not include additional services such as breakfast, parking, or special requests unless explicitly specified. You can usually arrange these directly with the hotel after booking, if permitted.
Booking confirmation: Once you have booked, you will receive a confirmation email. Please bring a printed copy along with any required identification or documentation.
Note: Hotelgifts cannot be redeemed for cash.
Cancellation: Whether a cancellation is fully, partially, or not refundable depends on the hotel's policy. If the hotel cancels your booking, you may be entitled to a full refund according to their terms. Any refund received from the hotel is passed on to you, minus any applicable change or cancellation fees. We credit the net amount back to your gift card code and reimburse any extra payment to your original payment method within three business days. Processing by the hotel can take several months.
Changes: You can make changes directly with the hotel where allowed, or we can help if changes through the hotel are not possible. Change fees may apply.
No-shows: Refunds are normally not available for missed bookings ("no-shows"). Because Hotelgift acts as agent for the hotel, decisions about exceptional circumstances rest with the hotel itself. Please contact us and we will raise the matter with the hotel on your behalf.
Hotelgift is not liable for complaints about the stay itself or the hotel's services. For stay-related issues, please contact the hotel directly. We are happy to support you where we can.

All content on our website, unless stated otherwise, is owned by Hotelgift. You may not use or reproduce any part of the site without our written permission.
Hotelgift acts as agent for the hotel and is responsible for the proper performance of our intermediation services. We are not responsible for the stay itself or for the hotel's performance as principal. Our liability for damages caused by light negligence in our intermediation services is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Our liability for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, and for damages to life, body, or health, remains unaffected and unlimited. We are not responsible for issues caused by force majeure, such as strikes or other events beyond our reasonable control.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Mandatory consumer protection law of your country of habitual residence applies to the extent it provides protection that cannot be excluded by agreement.
