A grateful recap of 2020 and exciting look to 2021

How else to start than by saying: what a year it’s been. This was a year that we have all never been through before. But luckily we’ve been through it together! As it wasn’t a year that will go into the history books with a lot of positivity, we think it’s important to highlight these positive things in order to be grateful and have an opportunity to look back at 2020 with a smile. That is why we decided to highlight three positive things that made our year. And of course, we will close with three new year’s resolutions to kick 2021 off with a bang!

1. Many happy customers

Loes started Experiencegift with the goal to let people make the most wonderful memories with new experiences. In a world where we own so many things – for which we are very grateful – it is important to focus on what really matters: memories.

Making many customers happy with the gift of an experience is a dream come true. In the last few years, we have improved our products to make it as easy as possible, while also providing the most opportunities for our customers. We want our customers to give a gift that fills their recipient’s heart with joy and at the same time feel like they are open to a world of possibilities to make the best memories. That is why our customers get the choice to give their gift card in three ways, with free handling and delivery, and their recipients get the choice of… well, actually the whole world. With over 200,000 hotels and 300+ airlines worldwide to choose from, they can choose wherever and whenever they want to go.

2. Our wonderful team

Experiencegift is not Experiencegift without a team of hard-working people with the same spirit and a shared goal. Just like making new memories, the experience is the most important part of a team. We experience new things every day, we experience new people every day, and we experience new opportunities every day. 

We grow each year exponentially, and that has not happened quietly. We have won many awards as a fast-growing company, from which we have won 3 major awards during this year alone. These include: 

  • Next Woman Top 100: our CEO Loes Daniels is one of the Top 100 Most Successful Female Entrepreneurs in The Netherlands and won in the category of Fastest Grower. 
  • Deloitte Fast 50: the 7th fastest-growing tech company in The Netherlands. 
  • Sprout Challenger 50: one of the 50 most challenging, innovative and fastest-growing companies in The Netherlands.

We are extremely proud of our team and what we have achieved this year. Especially in a difficult time. Onwards and upwards!

3. Supporting our partners during a tough year

A year of less travelling and making new memories is something that we had never expected. Like many other industries, the travel industry has faced a challenging time in 2020. We are happy that we have been able to support our hotel and airline partners with our gift cards. Luckily, we have a 2-year validity on our gift cards. So you have a guaranteed unforgettable new experience waiting for you!

We are convinced that next year will be a year full of new opportunities!

We are sure that 2021 will be a year full of new and exciting things! What will we focus on this year? Let’s have a look!

1. Spread happiness through the gift of experience

Giving an unforgettable gift isn’t easy. When we give a gift, we want to see that sparkle in the eyes of our recipient. We believe that memories create that sparkle. That is why we believe in giving experiences over things. This way we make the customer happy to give a perfect gift and the recipient for receiving a wonderful experience to make the best memories. The last years we have seen our Experiencegift community grow exponentially! We are so happy to see that we can spread happiness through the gift of experience to so many people. As our community grows, so will our effort to make everyone a happy customer! That is why we want to focus on:

3. Collaboration with our non-profit partners

We care about the planet that we love to explore. We believe that it’s important to protect the environment and give back to society. That is why we have teamed up with two amazing non-profit organisations who are dedicated to making the world a better place every day.
